Τhe Directorate General for Growth, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus, is the Programme Operator for the “Local Development and Poverty Reduction Programme”, funded through the EEA and Norway Financial Mechanisms under the current period 2014 - 2021. The Programme Agreement between the Donors and the Programme Operator was signed on the 29th of June 2020. The Programme Agreement foresees the funding and implementation of eleven predefined projects, with an overall budget of €8.396.118, with focus in the areas of environment, health, social welfare and culture. For each of the eleven projects, a project contract was signed between the Programme Operator and the Project Promoters and implementation has begun.
